Another Templar Gem - St. Eulalie

Another Templar Gem - St. Eulalie

We know that many of you enjoyed our little introductions to the lovely, authentic, old Templar towns of the Causse du Larzac in south-central France.

So we know you’ll be pleased to learn that this dry, harsh but deeply historic region contains yet another genuine Knights Templar fortified village: St Eulalie-de-Cernon.

Here are just a few pictures and clips we took for you on our recent exploratory visit to this heritage-packed Templar country. St. Eulalie is, to be honest, our personal favourite of the three.

That said, if you are lucky enough to be able to visit these few square miles with perhaps the highest concentration of Knights Templar sites in the world, you really have to see them all.

Remarkably, in addition to the three sites we have highlighted, the area actually includes even more KT centres. Just a few miles away on the well signposted ‘Templar route’ you will also find the well preserved keep of Viala Du Pas De Jaux and the sturdy castle of Saint Jean-d’Alcas.

To walk around the ancient stones of these Templar castles, churches, hostels and fortifications is literally to get within touching distance of our great and noble heritage.

We found it a great privilege, and we urge you to follow in our footsteps if you possibly can – before the coming Great Catastrophe for which old Europe is headed sweeps many of these wonders away…..
