Last year, Starbucks decided to turn their stores into homeless shelters. Whatever the intentions behind the move, the result has not been grateful homeless veterans adding a touch of authenticity to Starbucks, but a flood of crazy, smelly, drug-addicted, aggressive panhandlers and ‘minorities’.
And even trendy ‘liberal’ customers don’t like it!
As well as having to pay to add needle disposal boxes to the bathrooms, Starbucks have seen the numbers of paying customers slump.
The shift occurred after the arrest of two black men at a Starbucks in Philadelphia who were waiting for a friend. It became a major source of embarrassment for the company, which changed its policy.
Since then, however, there has been a 6.8% drop in store attendance per month relative to other coffee shops nearby, according to the findings of a joint study from the University of Texas at Dallas and Boston College.
