Has Supporting Israel REALLY Blessed America?

With the bloodshed in the Holy Land horrifying the world, America's huckster televangelists are insisting more than ever that supporting Israel makes America 'blessed', and that to criticise the Zionist state would bring down God's curse on those who dare to stand up to 'God's chosen people'.

As we have repeatedly pointed out, the real Biblical truth and genuine Christian position is that the Jews lost their special status as God's chosen ones when they rejected, and repeatedly insisted on the death of, Jesus Christ. It is crystal clear that this transferred the Chosen status to the people within the Christian church.

But leaving aside that theological argument, let us now look at the simple facts of the matter. Since televangelists appeared in the late 1950s, they have helped to create the political climate in which successive American governments have indeed supported Israel. The American taxpayers have given Israel trillions of dollars. American money, weapons and munitions continue to pour into Israel. It is safe to say that Israel would not even exist were it not for America's backing. The Democrats, who get over half of their donations from Jewish sources, and nearly as pro-Israel as the Republicans, who get over two-thirds of their donations from them, so both parties are unwavering in their backing of the Zionist state.

So has America been 'blessed' as a result? Let's have a quick look at some of the markers that should tell believing Christians all they need to know:

ABORTION. 'Blessed' America sees the murder of over 800,000 innocent babies every year;

ECONOMY. When America started its unconditional support for Israel, the USA was the strong-beating industrial heart of the world. Now? Look at the motor industry! Look at the 'Made In' labels on the things around you! Let's face it, 2021 America is an economic basket case compared to the USA of 1950.

DEBT. The USA is the biggest debtor nation in the world. If debt were a blessing, then pro-Israel America now has $30 TRILLION blessings!

FAMILY VALUES. When America's political elite started their unquestioning support for Israel, a family was one man and one woman. Homosexuality was illegal. Now, the LGBTQ+ cancer has spread to every institution in the 'blessed' land.

CONSTITUTION. In the same timescale, America has gone from being the greatest and most genuinely free Republic in the world to being run by a neo-Marxist regime imposed by a blatant coup d'etat against its properly elected President. The truth is that America has not been blessed while supporting Israel, the American Republic has literally been destroyed!

CRIME. "Take a look around you boy, it's bound to scare you boy".

The list could go on and on. We're sure you can think of many more examples. Since the pro-Israel televangelists are also so into their equally bogus 'prosperity' obsession, you could perhaps start by comparing the job, pay and home-owning prospects of the young people in your family at present with those of their grandparents when America started to receive all those blessings for funding and arming the Zionist state's dispossession of the people of Palestine.

So, understanding that Christian Zionism is in fact a Satanic hoax. what do real Christians say about the situation in Israel? If you really want to know, you need to listen not to the plump, seedy, snake-oil salesmen on American TV, but to the Christians living under siuege along with their Muslim neighbours in occupied Palestine. he Latin Patriarchate of Jerusalem (Catholic), the Syriac Orthodox Archdiocese of Jerusalem, the Episcopal Church in Jerusalem and the Middle East and the Evangelical Lutheran Church in Jordan and the Holy Land published the Jerusalem Declaration on Christian Zionism in 2006, which rejects Christian Zionism as substituting—in its view—a political-military program in place of the teachings of Jesus Christ. It criticises Christian Zionism as an obstacle to peace and understanding in Israel-Palestine. And that's the truth!
