Light Pours Into Our New Rooms  Priory Project Update

Great news here from the Priory Update team! All three of our attic conversion Veluxe windows are now safely installed - and what a fantastic difference they make!
The picture showing the old slates and one of the new skylights also gives another view of the huge amount of new timber and hard and very skilled work which has gone into the roof and the new rooms we've created. Truth to tell, this has been a far bigger job than we originally bargained for. The roof structure was a significantly worse condition than we expected, and once we started to knock it around we had no choice but to make extensive repairs before we could even start these improvements.
Still, all that has now been done and, like the entire Priory Project, the ultra-high standards of the work means that it should last for many, many decades without needing anything else doing to it. When we do a job, we do it right!
With all the old slates and mess cleared away, and the light pouring in, the final shape, usefulness and charm of this conversion job is really beginning to become clear. We're so pleased with how this is shaping up, words really can't express our gratitude to all ov you whose generosity has brought the project this far.
Yes, we know there's tidying up to do outside, but we just love this new view ovr the Chapel and the Chapter House. Don't the windows and the cross look simply lovely?
.
We are really looking forward to welcoming our first guests in these rooms. But, to be blunt, there's still a long way and some expensive work and fittings to put in before we can do so. We've already got the insulation that has to go in new to keep these rooms warm in winter and cool when the summer sun hits the slates just above us, but then we'll come to the plasterboard, plastering, second fix electrics and so on.
.
As things stand at present, there's a serious risk that we might have to take a pause in the building, simply on account of running out of ready cash. We don't want to have to do that, because we've come so far and done so much. But it's not up to us - it's up to you! Do you want us to be able to press straight on and get these rooms finished?
.
If so, please rush in the most generous donation you can afford. Will it be one very special large gift, or a shower of smaller ones which allow us to keep pushbing towards the finishing line with the top floor of this wonderful and vital Priory rebuild? One way or another, we're sure it will happen. Deus Vult!

Thank you if you can, and God bless you if you can't.
