Lockdown Confusion Reigns In North

Most times, it looks as though governmental imposition of covid lockdown measures is a deeply cynical but extremely clever plot to impose 1984-style controls and a climate-Marxist 'Great Reset'. But then they go and do something which just looks like sheer incompetence and blind panic!

The last-minute imposition of local lockdowns in the most heavily Muslim areas of northern England simply defy all logic. More than 4.5million Britons were put back into lockdown with just over two hours' notice last night after a spike in cases in the North of England just as five nights of Eid celebrations were about to begin.

But while people in the area are banned from meeting other families in their own homes and gardens, mosques remain open. And before you jump to conclusions about government fear of and bias towards Muslims - pubs can stay open too!

Health Secretary Matt Hancock made the announcement of new restrictions from midnight last night in a series of tweets at 9.15pm and blamed residents persistently ignoring social distancing for the diktat.

Households in the entirety of Greater Manchester as well as in Blackburn with Darwen, Burnley, Hyndburn, Pendle, Rossendale, Bradford, Calderdale and Kirklees have been banned from mixing any other households indoors or in a garden to reduce Covid-19 infections.

• It is now illegal for people who do not live together to meet in any private home or garden;
• But people can still go to pubs, restaurants, cafes, shops, places of worship, community centres, leisure and entertainment venues, or visitor attractions with their household or support bubble;
• Going to work is permissible and weddings and civil partnership ceremonies in these areas can still go ahead. No more than 30 people should attend and it must be at a Covid-safe venue;
• Leisure centres, gyms and pools will remain closed.

In fact, of course, the Muslims will simply ignore Hancock's ridiculous and pointless diktat. And so should everyone. Because, despite all the propaganda and lying with statistics, covid has a death rate well below that of a bad flu virus. The only way it can be brought down even lower is by: 1) Speeding up the rate at which the healthy population get it and build immunity; 2) Shielding the old and very sick and, 3) stop meddling in and ruining the lives of the whole of society and just target those responsible for the vast majority of the problems caused by this normally low-level health issue - people who are obese simply because they practice the sin of gluttony.

Anything else is either the elite's old Problem - Reaction - Solution trick, or just ludicrous incompetence.
