Priory Plasterboarding in Full Swing

Priory Plasterboarding in Full Swing

This week has seen progress in many rooms in the Priory House. A few days ago, so much of the place was covered in foil insulation that one visitor quipped that it was like walking through a series of giant cheese-graters. That look is rapidly disappearing now, as the walls are systematically plasterboarded.

Meanwhile, 'creative destruction' hit the upper hallway this week, as preparation got underway for the installation of new stairs to the attic. About the only thing staying the same in this room is the wonderful front window, whose image of a girl clinging to the Cross and Rock of Christ in a stormy sea is a noted landmark in the street outside.
