Rosslyn Chapel and the Ring of Brodgar

Rosslyn Chapel and the Ring of Brodgar

Rosslyn Chapel was built as the family chapel of the Sinclairs (Saint Clair) by William Sinclair after 1547.

The art and statuary of the enigmatic building likely define the family’s Templar legacy and beliefs of the Sinclairs at the time of its construction. Many feel that Rosslyn holds the secret to previously untold of exploration of North America.

While this may be true, Rosslyn does define some relations between William Sinclair and the Orkney Islands, specifically the Ring of Brodgar.

The point on earth that Rosslyln occupies may also reference the cult of Santiago as William was said to have been a Knight of Santiago.

Mysterious and entertaining stuff!
