Templar Barns As Lovely as Ever

Templar Barns As Lovely as Ever

Part of the joy of being involved with the Knights Templars of today is how much closer it brings you to the sites and heritage of our forebears centuries ago.

One site that stands out as very different from the usual castles and commanderies is Cressing Temple barns, in Esse, in the east of England. These wonderful agricultural buildings were constructed in the 13th century on a Templar estate and have remained in use for storing - and even celebrating - harvests ever since.
