We all die, that is how it is, and it is our blessed hope that, in Christ Jesus, we return to our Father in Glory. However, our mortal remains are another issue and where we rest our weary bones can be a matter of great concern.

Many people are now cremated, and their ashes scattered or quickly lost. Even graves are often neglected and forgotten. Sad, but all part of modern life.

DEDICATED, SACRED PLACE

Therefore, the Templar Order has set aside one of our dedicated Chapels to house the ashes of members who have departed this life, a sacred place where ancient Templar chants will ring out daily, 365 days a year, and where God shall be praised in worship without ceasing.

This ‘Chapel of the Glorious Dead’ is truly unique, its centuries-old walls are built of stones taken from a local Cistercian Abbey, erected in 1199 to replace the small church built by St Patrick himself around 430 AD! 

This is a truly remarkable site, reaching back 1,600 to the early days of our faith. It is one of the earliest sites of Christendom in the western world and now YOUR mortal remains, your ashes or even a lock of hair, can be interred within our sacred Magdalene Chapel with a brass name plate, to be seen and remembered for centuries to come!

YOUR LEGACY WILL REACH DOWN THROUGH THE CENTURIES

Your loved ones will be sent a large ‘ROLL OF HONOUR’ scroll for framing with your name and rank and details of your birth and death dates, as well as the Magdalene Chapel address. This means that 100 years or more after your passing, YOUR bloodline will know where to find your urn/granite box.

You can also write a personal message to your descendants that will be entered into our ‘Battalion of the Glorious Dead’ great book, which shall be kept in the St Donard’s Chapter House adjacent to the Chapel.

IMMORTALITY IN LOVING REMEMBRANCE

To be so remembered through the centuries is a form of ‘immortality’; not in false pride but rather in compassion, love and humble remembrance.

The message YOU leave, the experience your descendants have visiting the Chapel in which YOU rest - perhaps breaking their journey by staying the night in the Priory - may influence THEIR life for the good. What better legacy can you or any of us hope to leave after our death?  We know that God honours those who honour him and to HIM all the Glory! Non nobis.

Space is limited but you can reserve your place TODAY beside your fellow Knights in the Mary Magdalene Chapel of the Glorious Dead in the St Donard’s Priory, Ireland for just $1,119 (the year our Order was founded). This can be paid in instalments if necessary, so no-one need miss out.

*Note: We have an arrangement with an international courier for conveying human ashes, cost approx. $49. The solid granite urns are supplied at cost on completion of approx $85 inc brass name plate. We produce, print, bless and sign and send out the A3 parchment certificate to your loved ones at no extra cost on your death, so please leave instructions in your will or with your attorney to have us informed.
