Anzac Day – the First D-Day

Moving scenes from the annual Dawn Service in Galipoli, Tukey. Together with services all over Australia, New Zealand and in London, it marks the anniversary of the tragic and bloody First World War battle that helped to form the identity and nationhood of New Zealand and Australia.

The allied landings hit the beaches this day in 1915.
