Bringing World War One To Life

As we approach the 100th anniversary of the Great War, Lord of the Rings Director Peter Jackson has produced a mesmerising full-colour, documentary film, bringing the horrors and heroism of that tragic period to life.

Using footage by the British archives, we get a full 3D view of the battlefield and the see what our ancestors saw; the mayhem, the comradeship, the sense of loss and the ecstasy of victory. The sound of guns, of splashing water, chatter, laughter, almost like if it is today and you are there. The video could not be timelier as we are only two weeks away from remembrance Sunday. If only they could see what our spineless political class have done to Britain; we need them now more than ever.
