Easter Sunday 2024
Happy Easter/ Resurrection Day, from the Priors, Knights, Dames, Affiliates officers and members of THE Knights Templar Order.
We serve a LIVING God not a dead prophet and we are His soldiers…AMEN!
For the first time ever, we held vigils during Holy Week in our very OWN Magdalene Church at the St Donard priory.
This is the primary Church of our Order where Members are Knighted and take the sacred oath.
It is a very special and Holy place that we all worked hard to renovate back to use after 400 years of neglect.
This little Chapel, YOUR little Church is truly a place of world heritage and importance, It will also contain the ashes/remains of hundreds of Knights and Dames after they return home to be with our Lord, so it is absolutely vital that we make sure there are always resources at hand to maintain the Lord's house.
The First ever Easter appeal for the Priory Church of St Mary Magdalene
As you know, buildings (especially ancient stone buildings) must be rigorously maintained even more so when it is the House of God and our most sacred Chapel that also contains the remains of OUR brothers and sisters.
We are sure you understand this and want to be part of drive to ensure its structure remains well looked after and maintained.
Therefore, we invite you to be involved in this inaugural funding drive for our very special and Holy Chapel.
We pray that you would consider making a truly sacrificial donation today, yes times are hard but think of the sacrifice Jesus made for YOU and I, so surely we can sacrifice to maintain His Holy sanctuary?
Faith without works is useless and maybe FALSE!
Let us step out in faith today and make this Holy day even more special as we band together to make the biggest gifts we can for our Lord. Will a big donation get us into heaven? NO, but it is a sure sign we are already Heaven bound.
As the Apostle James said ‘Even so faith, if it hath not works, is dead, being alone' James 2:17
Will YOU do your duty this Holy day and participate in this most noble of causes or shall you hold back and let others harvest the blessing of God while you miss out?
Why would anyone NOT want to serve God by looking after HIS house, a Holy sanctuary that MUST stand for the next thousand years or until our Lord Returns.
Heaven forbid that when Jesus returns, he finds His house in disrepair or unkempt in appearance! That would be a terrible shame for ALL of us. Would it not? So let us all sacrifice of ourselves for this now annual drive to raise finances for OUR Church maintenance please.
