"Don't touch my little sister, she's f****** twelve" and "Get away from us!"A girl of just fourteen defends herself and her 12-year-old sister from an immigrant. She feels the danger is so great that she brandishes a knife and a hatchet as she shouts at the potential predator.
The police arrive and, instead of arresting the man who has approached the two girls, they arrest and charge the girl - and let the immigrant go without any suggestion of action against him!
Maybe Lochee is a rough part of Dundee. Maybe the girls' family are regarded as "a bit rough", but it is clear that she was acting in self-defence. She didn't stab him, she merely warned him off. How on earth can this be an offence?
She should get a medal, not prosecution and a criminal record!
