The Knights Templar is an ancient Christian Order with a rich history.
This month, as part of our Templar Heritage Campaign we are commemorating the co-founder and first Grand Master of the Knights Templar Order, Hugh de Payens.
Hugh, born on 9th February 1070, was a French nobleman who fought in the Holy Land during the First Crusade.
Sir Hugh and his small band of brothers-in-arms took their monastic-style triple vow of poverty, chastity and obedience, founding the Order on Christmas Day 1119.
In this modern age of 'Wokeness' and 'Cancel Culture', it is absolutely VITAL that we defend our Templar History and Heritage!
From the awesome Churches and Castles to the bloody Crusades against Islamic armies, we will continue to pay tribute to our Templar brethren before us and keep the living memory of our ancient Order alive for centuries to come!
