India introduces DEATH PENALTY for paedophile rapists in MAJOR crackdown

DIA has introduced the death penalty for rapists and paedophiles after a post-mortem on a 11-year-old schoolgirl that had been raped, tortured, strangled and smothered shocked the country.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi approved the bill at an emergency meeting after a little girl from his hometown of Gujarat was brutally attacked. The murder sent shockwaves across the country riddled with 40,000 rape cases a year – in which 40 per cent of the victims are children.

The order amends the criminal law to include more drastic punishment for convicted rapists of girls under 16 and will come into effect once signed by India’s president Ram Nath Kovind.

The bill follows news of a rape epidemic across India, where every day newspapers carry fresh stories of sexual violence against women.
