Remembering the Fallen from Wales and Ulster

Today is the 102nd anniversary of the Battle of the Somme.

These two moving videos commemorate the sacrifice pf the Lancashire Fusiliers on this day, the 36th Ulster Division and of the men of the Welsh regiments who fell in the Battle of Mametz Wood a week later.

While the losses of Wales are commemorated by a magnificent Ddraig Goch, the Golgotha of the 36th Ulster Division on the first day of the Battle of the Somme is remembered at the Ulster Tower.
