'Woke' Is Just Godless Religion

'Woke' is an example of what happens when a whole society loses God. And this video gives a very interesting example of this - the pseudo-religious conviction that a transsexual man literally changes sex simply by uttering the 'magic' words "I am now a woman".

The idea that global warming mania is rooted in the return of Earth Goddess archetypes to fill the void left by the removal of belief in God from the liberal mainstream is explored in one of the insightful chapters in Deus Vult - the Reconquista of the West. The essay quotes GK Chesterton: "When men stop believing in God, they don't believe in nothing; they believe in anything", and the good Christian lady in this video picks up and runs with the same idea.

Strict Catholics may not be entirely comfortable with her view that transubstantiation is a sort of magic in which it is not necessary to believe, but all Christians (and, indeed, anyone with an ounce of common sense) will surely agree with her basic point: When facing wokeism, we are not dealing with fact-based rationalism, but with a pseudo-religious fantasy.

Perhaps it is the very unbelievability and patent absurdity of the core claims of this ultimate egalitarianism that makes it so attractive to the post-Marxist left. It is a common factor in cults for the cult leaders to demand that their followers believe - or profess to believe - in the most absurd and unlikely things. This not only marks them out as true followers, it also cuts them off from non-cult members - which of course strengthens the hold of the cult on them.

All-in-all, this Christian take on 'woke' is a thought-provoking little video and well worth a few minutes of your time.
