Meddling Scientists Unleash Killer Meteor Shower

With the global elite seriously plotting to block out the sun and to modify the weather, it's time to consider the possibility of such meddling with God's Earth going horribly wrong. And the announcement that scientists who experimented with knocking an asteroid off course have unleashed a shower of potentially devastating meteorites has provided a prime example of the sort of unintended (?) consequences which can spin off from such arrogant fiddling around with Creation.

A boulder swarm 'as deadly as Hiroshima' was accidentally unleashed by NASA during its first so-called 'planetary defence' mission last year. The mission, known as the Double Asteroid Redirection Test (DART), aimed to push the moonlet off its orbit in the event of an asteroid barreling toward Earth.

Scientists at the University of California, Los Angeles, have identified 37 boulders up to 22 feet wide that scattered off the surface of the moonlet Dimorphos after a spacecraft smashed into it. NASA launched its DART in 2022 to move Dimorphos off its orbit.

While the test was a success, it came with unintended consequences: 'Smaller rocks flying off into space could create their own problems,' the team have revealed in a press release.

Even a 15-foot boulder hitting Earth would deliver as much energy as the atomic bomb dropped on the Japanese city during World World II.

The team likened the swarm of space rocks to a 'cloud of shrapnel expanding from a hand grenade' soaring through space at 13,000 miles per hour. 

While none of the rubble is reckoned to be on a collision course with Earth, scientists are worried that a boulder storm from a future asteroid deflection could impact our planet at the same speed the asteroid was traveling — fast enough to cause tremendous damage.

Perhaps it is true that there is no danger to us on Earth from this new shower of meteors which will now wizz around our solar sytem for as long as it survives. But it is a salutory lesson in the Law of Unintended Consequences. Unlike smashing up asteroids millions of miles away, blocking out the sun or launching weather modification programmes are 'experiments' which could all too easily affect and harm evefry living creature on the planet. Do you trust Bill Gates, Klaus Schwab and Joe Biden's pet scientists enough to let that happen?
