Mockery Derails Google AI Revamp

Google is the latest giant corporation to be hit with the problems that come from going Woke.

The ultra-liberal tech company announced on Thursday that it ispausing its Gemini artificial intelligence image generation feature after saying it offers “inaccuracies” in historical pictures.

Users on social media were ridiculing the AI tool for its PC generation of absurdly woke images of historical figures. Examples included female popes. black Vikings, black and brown Nazi soldiers and Red Indian and black U.S. Founding Fathers..

Social media users blasted Gemini as “absurdly woke” and “unusable” after requests to generate representative images for subjects resulted in the bizarrely revisionist pictures.

“We’re already working to address recent issues with Gemini’s image generation feature,” Google said in a statement posted on X. “While we do this, we’re going to pause the image generation of people and will re-release an improved version soon.”

Examples included an AI image of a black man who appeared to represent George Washington, complete with a white powdered wig and Continental Army uniform, and a Southeast Asian woman dressed in papal attire even though all 266 popes throughout history have been white men.

Gemini even generated “diverse” representations of Nazi-era German soldiers, including an Asian woman and a black man decked out in 1943 military garb.

Google said in a post on X on Wednesday that the AI feature can “generate a wide range of people. And that’s generally a good thing because people around the world use it.” But it said that the software feature is “missing the mark here,” adding that the tech giant is “working to improve these kind of depictions immediately.” That's another very expensive woke mess!
