The Future Face Of War & Terror?

Is this gripping short video a frightening glimpse into the technology of war and terrorism in our near future.

The central premise of “Slaughterbots” is that in the future militaries will build autonomous microdrones with shaped charges that can fly up to someone’s head and detonate an explosive, killing the person. Used to advocate for an international ban on autonomous drone weaponry, the film focuses on the threat of such technology being used by terrorists.

We wonder if we’re the only ones who find it just as worrying that it could be used by governments or, perhaps worst of all, by the United Nations?
